Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed an official contract for Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The youngest to win the 200 meter in the world championships in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 in her various events in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
