Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Following her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to model. She then developed an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody avoided nude and glamour modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. After being noticed by the directors of casting for an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she took on the character of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bondgirl to date. A different early film was a small part in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that featured Mickey Rourke. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody, who had been away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 for a minor role of The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene during the ceremony for awards. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary. In November she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
